Students have been reading and analyzing many fables. It is now time to create our own! By creating fables we have the opportunity to make a difference! This week we discussed experiences in our lives that we have learned from. We identified the lesson or morale from our experiences that will help us create a meaningful fable. I am so impressed with the ideas generated for these fables, it has been fun and interesting for me as a teacher to watch these ideas form into fables!
This weekend students are bringing home their fable planners. They are eager to share their ideas with you. Students are not suppose to write a fable at home, rather they are sharing their ideas and open to any feedback from family. The fable planner must be returned to school on Tuesday as we will begin writing our rough copy that day!
